I hope that many of you will be attending the American Telemedicine Association meeting next week in Las Vegas. CTEC will have a booth in the exhibit hall and we hope you will stop by and visit us. Our booth number is 1517.

Welcome to 2009!

This is going to be an incredible year for telemedicine and telehealth in California. For those of us that have been working for over a decade to expand telemedicine, our vision and efforts are coming into reality. For the hundreds of newcomers to the field, your energy and ideas are most welcome.

As you have undoubtedly noticed, CTEC has a new look and a new website. CTEC is the federally designated Telehealth Resource Center for California and we hope that our new website will be the kind of portal we all need to find information and to make connections with others. We welcome any articles or information that you may have that you think should be on the Web site.

The blog is also new. There are so many things that go on around the state and I don't have the opportunity to talk to all of you, so I think this blog can be a vehicle for providing you with new information and also to start a dialogue about important issues, concerns and questions.

Please feel free to email me with your thoughts and comments on what is happening in telemedicine and telehealth.
