Telemedicine Legislation Update

Governor Signs AB 1224

In a press release issued today, it was announced that Governor Schwarzenegger has signed Assembly Bill 1224, sponsored by Assembly member Ed Hernandez. 

This bill Would make a licensed optometrist subject to telemedicine provisions in treating primary open angle glaucoma, and provides guidelines associated with this practice.
