CTEC Policy Initiative: Optimizing Telehealth in California
In 2009 CTEC launched a policy initiative to identify barriers to telehealth growth and to recommend policy and action steps to further the implementation of this important technology. Chartered as a Collaborative, CTEC engaged telemedicine stakeholders including health care organizations, provider groups, consumers, payers and funders, government agencies and experts from across California. The Collaborate developed a unified perspective on policy and strategies necessary to overcome barriers to widespread adoption. The results and recommendations have been published in CTEC’s, Optimizing Telehealth in California an Agenda for Today and Tomorrow.
