In 1999, CTEC established the Telemedicine Learning Center (TLC) in partnership with the University of California, Davis Medical Center (UCDMC). Its goal is to provide professional training in telemedicine protocol, implementation, and technique. The TLC North has developed an internationally acclaimed, hands-on, classroom-based telemedicine and eHealth training curriculum.
TLC Fee Waivers
Fees for attendance at Northern California TLC sessions may be waived for organizations that meet all of the following criteria:
Provide at least 75 percent of care to underserved or indigent populations;
Have limited operating budget;
Are community-based with strong, local input;
Rural provider; and
Are located in California
In addition, there is no charge to organizations that are California Telemedicine & eHealth Center grant recipients.
